Prominent Nollywood actors, family members, Islamic scholars and well-wishers gathered in Ilaro, Ogun State, for the eight-day Fidau prayer held in honour of late veteran Yoruba actor, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.
Newsonspot reports that the solemn ceremony took place in the actor’s hometown and brought together colleagues, friends and associates from across the Nigerian entertainment industry to pay their final respects to the celebrated actor.

Among the family members present was Ogogo’s daughter, popularly known as Kira, alongside cultural and religious leaders from across the South-West.
Islamic scholars led special prayers for the peaceful repose of the late actor’s soul, while also praying for strength, comfort and fortitude for his family.

Colleagues and other guests at the ceremony paid glowing tributes to Ogogo, remembering him as a cultural icon, mentor and one of the enduring pillars of the Yoruba film industry.
