The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has called on Nigerians in the United Kingdom who completed their Contactless Passport Applications but are yet to receive their passports to submit their details for resolution.
Newsonspot reports that the Service, in a notice posted on its X handle on Sunday, directed affected applicants to complete a Contactless Passport Application Resolution Form.
Applicants are required to provide their full names, contact details, application and reference numbers, as well as their location in the UK.
They are also expected to indicate whether they sent a self-addressed envelope and their old passports to the Nigerian High Commission, and whether they have tracked their applications.
The NIS said complaints submitted through the form would be collated and reviewed three working days after submission, adding that it was working to resolve the outstanding issues.
The development comes shortly after the Service announced a passport intervention exercise in four UK cities to address pending applications and assist Nigerians seeking new passports or renewals.
The intervention will take place in London and Manchester from September 7 to 19, followed by Aberdeen and Cardiff from September 21 to 26.
The NIS advised Nigerians seeking new passports or renewals to apply and make payment through its Passport Application portal before attending the intervention exercise.
The Service said home delivery of passports is also available to applicants.
