Newsonspot gathered that the Abia lawmaker had earlier been praised by many Nigerians for his stance on accountability, which reportedly contributed to the removal of the Minister of State for Finance by Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His bold declaration that “misappropriation of funds is a crime” further strengthened his image as an advocate for transparency and good governance.
