A police outrider in the convoy of the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has died in an accident, along Airport Road in Abuja.
The accident occurred at about 3 pm on Friday, while the Vice President was being driven to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport where he was to connect a flight to Lagos, for an official engagement at the weekend.
Sources who witnessed the incident said the police officer in an attempt to clear the way for the Vice President motorcade, got knocked down by a trailer.
