This online news platform understands that Orji Kalu, a former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Senate confirmed the development in a post on his official Facebook page on Monday, April 3, 2023.
However, the cause of death was not disclosed by the senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, who has publicly expressed his desire to become the next senate president of the nation.
She was aged 61.
Kalu wrote, “With a heavy heart and pain, we announce the passing on to the eternal glory of Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu aged 61.
“She was a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity.“A memorial service in her honour is scheduled to hold in the United States of America.”
Mr Kalu, a former governor of Abia State, got married to Mrs Kalu, a medical doctor, in December 1989.
The couple has four children.
