A woman identified as Chiomie has withdrawn a rape allegation she previously made against Nigerian footballer Victor Ebele Jr., publicly stating that the footballer never raped her.
Newsonspot reports that Chiomie made the clarification in a video shared on social media, where she expressed regret over the allegation and apologised to Ebele, his brother, Frank Chiboy Ebele, and other members of the family.

According to her, the allegation was made in August 2025 when she was highly emotional. She admitted that her state of mind at the time influenced her actions and caused her to involve Ebele’s family in the controversy.
“I made a post against Victor Ebele Jr. that he raped me. He never raped me, guys,” Chiomie said in the video.
She also acknowledged that she defamed members of the Ebele family by making statements against them during the controversy.
Chiomie urged members of the public not to continue associating the footballer with the allegation, insisting that he is not a rapist.
“I’m really sorry and I regret all my actions. And I hope that you guys don’t take it up against him because Victor is not a rapist,” she said.
The woman further appealed to blogs and social media platforms that published or reposted her original allegation to take down the reports.
She specifically called on Instablog9ja, alleging that the platform had reposted her initial post on its Instagram and X pages.
“Take the post they made down because Victor never raped me,” she appealed.
Chiomie said the allegation had allegedly affected Victor and members of his family in their workplaces and personal relationships, adding that she regretted handling the matter the way she did.
She admitted that she “took laws into” her own hands instead of following what she described as the appropriate channels.
“This is also me making a public apology to everyone in the family. I’m really sorry. I took laws into my hands. What I did was wrong and I didn’t take the right precautions to get what I wanted,” she said.
Her public retraction has now brought a fresh turn to the controversy that began with the allegation in August 2025.
