The Olugbemiro family has announced the death of Mr. Olusola Oluseyi Olugbemiro, publisher of Access Weekly Magazine and founder of the Nigeria Media Nite-Out Awards.
Newsonspot reports that Olugbemiro died on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
The family, in a statement signed by Kunle Olugbemiro, described the deceased as a beloved son, brother, husband and father, while expressing gratitude to God despite the loss.

According to the funeral programme released by the family, a Service of Songs will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at No. 15, Oshin Street, Alausa, Lagos.
The Funeral Service and Interment will follow on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at No. 16, Adekunle Baale-Akinosi Street, beside Moricas Mosque, Akute/Ajuwon, Ogun State.
The family said the funeral rites were scheduled to honour Olugbemiro’s life, contributions and legacy.
They also called on relatives, friends, colleagues and well-wishers to join them in celebrating the life and legacy of the late media entrepreneur.
The family concluded the announcement with a passage from Psalm 116:15: “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”
