Zenith Bank Plc has confirmed that it is investigating an incident involving unauthorised access to a limited amount of customer information, including email addresses and phone numbers, following a broader global cyber attack affecting several international organisations across different sectors.
Newsonspot reports that according to the bank, the incident was detected promptly, triggering its established incident response protocols, enhanced cybersecurity measures, and remediation efforts to contain the situation and protect customer data.
The bank reassured customers that its banking services, digital platforms, and transaction channels remain secure and fully operational, with no disruption to normal banking activities.

As part of its security advisory, Zenith Bank urged customers to remain vigilant against phishing attempts through emails, text messages, or phone calls. Customers were also reminded never to disclose sensitive security details such as passwords, Personal Identification Numbers (PINs), One-Time Passwords (OTPs), or any other banking credentials to anyone.
