A touching moment unfolded in Awka as a 74-year-old woman, Grace Okafor, presented a live fowl to Chukwuma Soludo during his inauguration ceremony.

Madam Okafor, who arrived at the venue in a wheelchair, captured the attention of attendees as she joyfully danced toward the podium with the fowl in a bucket, earning loud cheers from the crowd.
Explaining her gesture, the elderly woman said the gift was a token of appreciation for a N100,000 cash support she had earlier received from the governor during an event in Eziowelle community.
A native of Abatete, she revealed that she invested the money into poultry farming, with the fowl symbolizing part of the proceeds from that investment.
“I came to witness the swearing-in of Gov. Soludo because he supported me with N100,000. I used the money for poultry, and this fowl is from the business. I am here to say thank you,” she shared.
The emotional display added a human touch to the inauguration ceremony, highlighting the impact of grassroots support initiatives and the deep connection between leaders and the people.
