Dangote Industries Limited has strongly cautioned individuals and groups circulating fake statements falsely attributed to its President and Chief Executive Officer, Aliko Dangote.
In a firm statement, the company condemned the spread of such misleading quotes, describing it as a calculated attempt to score cheap political points. Dangote Group warned perpetrators to immediately desist, stressing that it will not hesitate to take appropriate action against those involved in this act of mischief.
The company also urged the public to verify information from credible sources before sharing, in order to curb the spread of fake news.
