The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the arrest of controversial cross dresser, Idris Okuneye popularly called Bobrisky.
Contrary to earlier reports, which suggested Bobrisky’s arrest had not occurred, recent developments indicate otherwise according to our Correspondents.
Newsonspot reports that Bobrisky’s arrest was confirmed by Spokesperson for EFCC, Dele Oyewale.
Reportedly apprehended at Pinnock Estate in Lagos State on April 3, 2024, at 3 p.m., Bobrisky’s arrest has sparked widespread attention.
Oyewole said that Bobrisky was arrested on Wednesday, 3 April, 2024 at Pinnock Estate in Lagos State at 3 p.m. and is being detained at the Lagos office of the anti-graft agency.
According to him, the controversial cross-dresser was arrested for abuse of Naira, the nation’s currency.
He stated further that specifically, Bobrisky was arrested for currency mutilation.
As per Oyewale’s statement, Bobrisky is expected to face charges in court imminently.
