A Nigerian man, Oluwatobi Kufeji, has began a 200-hour sing-a-thon.
He tagged his daring attempt as a Praise-a-thon during which he would be singing different worship and praise songs. He has so far sang for two days and twenty hours as at press time is attempting to set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest singing marathon.
Oluwatobi, on June 10, posted on Instagram that the body approved his request to do a 200-hour singing marathon.
He, however kicked off his singing marathon on July 1, 2023.
Tagged “Praise-a-thon”, Oluwatobi will be singing different worship and praise songs during his during attempt.
According to the Guinness World Record official website, the longest singing marathon by an individual lasted 105 hours and was achieved by Sunil Waghmare (India) in Nagpur, India, from 3 to 7 March 2012.
According to the details on the official Guinness World Record website, he achieved this feat in Nagpur, India, from March 3 to March 7, 2012. The record attempt commenced at 11:06 am on March 3, with a variety of popular Indian songs being performed.
No song was repeated within a 4-hour period. The attempt concluded on the evening of March 7, after which Waghmare joined in a sing-song with his supporters.
