Billionaire Elon Musk has shared a series of tweets that prompted his followers to ask him if everything is OK.
Musk, who is the CEO of SpaceX and the co-founder of Tesla, wrote on Twitter that he will be selling off almost all his physical possessions and will not even own a house.
He wrote: “I am selling almost all physical possessions. Will own no house.”
Musk, who is worth an estimated 38.9 billion USD added one requirement for the sale of one of his houses. He said he owns Gene Wilder’s old house and doesn’t want it to be torn down by anyone who’ll buy it.
He wrote: “Just one stipulation on sale: I own Gene Wilder’s old house. It cannot be torn down or lose any its soul.”
He went on to say that his pregnant girlfriend, Claire Boucher, better known by her stage name Grimes, is not happy about his decision.
He wrote: “My gf @Grimezsz is mad at me.”
Some followers wondered what could be the motive behind Musk’s decision.
“Are you doing it because you need the cash or is this to protest the world burning down?” a follower asked.
And Elon replied: “Don’t need the cash. Devoting myself to Mars and Earth. Possession just weigh you down.”
