Guaranty Trust Bank Ltd (GTBank), the flagship banking subsidiary of GTCO Plc, has launched Quick Airtime Loan, a new digital service that allows customers to access instant airtime on credit when they run out of call credit and have limited funds in their accounts.
Newsonspot reports that the service is designed to keep customers connected at critical moments, eliminating disruptions caused by insufficient airtime. With Quick Airtime Loan, eligible GTBank customers can borrow between ₦100 and ₦10,000 by dialing *737*90#, making it easy and convenient to access airtime directly from their bank.
The solution is available across all major mobile networks in Nigeria, with plans to introduce data loans soon, further expanding its digital offerings. Unlike traditional telco airtime credit services that charge around 15%, GTBank’s Quick Airtime Loan is priced at a customer-friendly 2.95%, offering significant savings.
According to Miriam Olusanya, Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank Ltd, the product reflects the bank’s commitment to delivering relevant and accessible digital solutions tailored to real customer needs. She noted that the solution leverages GTBank’s digital capabilities and HabariPay’s technology to deliver a seamless end-to-end experience.
Quick Airtime Loan also highlights GTCO’s evolution into a diversified financial services group, combining banking, payment technology, and digital platforms to create integrated customer experiences. The launch builds on GTBank’s legacy of innovation, complementing its QuickCredit product and the widely used *737# USSD banking platform.
