More than 1,500 residents of Kabuga community, Dala Local Government Area, Kano State, have benefited from the Fidelity Food Bank outreach, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by Fidelity Bank Plc in partnership with Misnoory Foundation.
As part of efforts to support vulnerable individuals during Ramadan, bank staff distributed essential food items to residents. Speaking at the event, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head, Brands and Communications at Fidelity Bank, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to community welfare.
“Social responsibility is at the heart of who we are. Through the Fidelity Food Bank initiative, we aim to combat hunger and support those in need. Since its launch in April 2023, we have distributed over 150,000 food packs across Nigeria.”
He further noted that the Kabuga outreach specifically targeted women, widows, and children, ensuring they had adequate food during the fasting season.
Founder of Misnoory Foundation, Maryam Isa Inuwa, praised the partnership, highlighting how Fidelity Bank has been instrumental in their poverty alleviation programs.
