A 36-year-old medical doctor in Jigawa state, Nasir Adam, has died from COVID-19 complications.
According to reports, Nasir died at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Birnin kudu after battling with acute respiratory disease and was later said to have contracted the novel Coronavirus.
Until his death, he was the Medical Officer in the Department of Internal Medicine, Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kudu in the state.
Born in Jos, Plateau State capital in 1984, the deceased doctor had his primary and secondary education in Jos. He graduated from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria in 2012 and did his housemanship in the Federal Medical Center.
In a related development, the state government today discharged 22 COVID-19 patients after testing negative twice for the virus.
