Tension and grief have engulfed Oyo State following the alleged k!lling of Michael Oyedokun, one of the teachers abducted during a recent attack on Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele in Oriire Local Government Area.
Newsonspot reports that the tragic incident began on Friday, May 15, 2026, when heavily armed gunmen stormed the school, abducting the principal, several teachers including Oyedokun, and a number of students.
Shockingly, a disturbing video said to have been released by the kidnappers on Sunday, May 17, reportedly showed the brutal b*heading of Oyedokun. The viral footage has since sparked widespread outrage across the state and renewed fears over the worsening insecurity affecting schools and communities.

The attack came only weeks after another violent incident along the Ibadan-Ijebu road, where a failed kidnapping operation reportedly claimed the life of a traveler, further raising concerns about safety in parts of Oyo State.
Residents, community leaders, and relatives of the abducted victims have continued to appeal to security agencies and the Oyo State Government to intensify rescue efforts and ensure the safe return of those still being held captive.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities, including the police and the Oyo State Government, are yet to officially confirm the reported death of the teacher.
