The Association of Movie Producers (AMP) on Thursday hosted the Nollywood Producers’ Summit 2025 at the Lagos Country Club, Ikeja GRA.
Themed “Positioning the Nollywood Producer for Success: Creating Authentic Content in a Digital World, through Collaboration, Policy Support, Government and Private Sector Partnership,” the event brought together leading voices in the Nigerian film industry, government representatives, and international partners.
The summit was declared open by Ambassador Dr. Queen Blessing Ebigieson, National President of AMP, alongside executive members including Mr. Tony Chukuma (National Secretary), Mrs. Favour Ogbodo-Benson (National Publicity Secretary), and Mr. Asuelime Ojeriakhi Eniola (National Financial Secretary).

The summit featured four insightful panel sessions:
1. Film Financing: Alternative Funding Options – Panelists: Francis Onwochie, Patrick Lee, Biodun Stephen, Charles Novia. Moderator: Uche Okocha.
2. Digital Distribution & Streaming for Global Markets – Panelists: Alhaji Abdulrasaq Abdullahi, Joy Odiete, Wale Adenuga Jr., Moses Babatope. Moderator: Judith Audu.
3. Bridging Gaps & Building Bonds in Nollywood Production – Panelists: Dr. Adeniyi Ifetayi, Uche Agbo, Akinyemi Osawaru Joy. Moderator: Greg Odutayo.
4. Collaborations & Next Steps for Nollywood – Panelists: Amb. Paul Obazele, Amb. Ralph Nwadike, Mahmood Alli-Balogun, Joe Dundun. Moderator: Fidelis Dukker.
Other highlights included a presentation by Norbert Ajaegbu Esq on the importance of contracts for film producers, as well as goodwill appearances from Nollywood veterans such as Olorugun Zeb Ejiro (OON), Amb. Ralph Nwadike, Zik Zulu Okafor, and Amb. Paul Obazele.
Other distinguished guests were Builder (Dr.) Abdulhakeem Odegade (Akmodel Group MD), Sunny McDonwell, Tony Abulu, Kemi Adekanmi, Ruth Jacobs, Songito Ashiedu (Newly elected Chairman AGN Lagos Chapter), Dele Osawe, Blessing Agofure, Franca Brown, Chinedu Egbe (Convener of Eko Heritage Award/Miss Eko Pageant), Miss Eko, Miss Ibeju Lekki, Cornel Udofia of CMC etc.
The event was anchored by Amb. Sam Uche Anyamele (Ph.D., fta), while Hon. Shan George, AMP’s National Vice-President, delivered the closing remarks. Guests enjoyed networking sessions, entertainment, tea breaks, and lunch.
