Taraba State’s Commissioner for Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Naphtali Kefas, is reportedly dead.
The late Commissioner died on Thursday May 7, at the Federal Medical Center in Jalingo after a protracted illness. He died barely a month after the Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon. Makus Senlo died in a Yola hospital.
Governor Darius Ishaku’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan-Abu confirmed the death of the commissioner in a statement released on Friday May 8.
It reads in part;
“The death of Kefas has robbed the state of the services of a patriotic and hard-working gentleman
“The late Kefas was a very gentle and compassionate man, the reason why he was posted to the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation to help implement government’s pragmatic programme of giving hope and succour to the poor and the needy.”
Before his death, Kefas was flown to Dubai for treatment at different occasions.
