The Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board, Adebukola Agbaminoja, will lead family, friends, and associates in honouring her late father, Chief Julius Aderonmu Johnson-Agiri (JP), who passed away on January 5, 2026, at the age of 88.
Chief Johnson-Agiri, a respected community figure, is remembered for a life defined by faith, compassion, and dedicated service. His legacy continues to resonate within his family, community, and beyond.
The burial programme will span three days of solemn reflection and celebration of life. Activities will begin on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, with a Service of Songs. On Thursday, April 30, a Commendation Service and Lying-in-State/Wake Keep will be held, followed by the funeral service on Friday, May 1, 2026. The ceremonies will conclude with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, May 3, 2026.
The family noted that the events are designed to celebrate a life well lived and to honour the enduring values Chief Johnson-Agiri embodied – love, empathy, faith, and service.
