The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Monday advised Nigerians to wear their face mask as COVID-19 cases increase across states in Nigeria.
The cleric stated this at the time some religious leaders are against Christians and pastors wearing a face mask to protect themselves from COVID-19.
Adeboye who took to his verified Twitter account wrote, “Stay safe, wear a mask!”

Recall that the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, on Monday, noted that reopening of schools, religious centres and businesses are the reason for an increase in COVID-19 cases in the country.
Mustapha stated this during the PTF media briefing in Abuja, on Monday.
Last month, churches in Lagos state were forced to adjust their Crossover Service schedule.
This followed a directive from the state government, that curfew will be imposed from 12am to 4am.
There are now over 100,000 confirmed coronavirus cases in the country.
