At least five mobile policemen have been involved in a fatal accident along Oba Ile Road, Akure, Ondo State capital on Tuesday.
The policemen, it was gathered, were heading to the airport in a Toyota Hilux when the incident happened.
An eyewitness said the accident occurred as a result of speeding at a sharp bend of the road.
Ondo police spokesman Tee-Leo Ikoro has confirmed the incident.
“I will have to go to the hospital where they (victims) were taken to, to ascertain the number of the casualties,” he said.
