Among the categories at the front-lines against the fighting of Coronavirus transmission transmission, Nigeria Police Force had been reckoned with. This body has been working tirelessly to uphold the Law and Order in not only the grassroots but also nationwide during this critical period of Pandemic disease.
While addressing Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Okuwobi Olabisi who is also the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Ejigbo, the acting Coordinator of NYCN Ejigbo Branch Comrade Akinyele Akintunde commended the entire Police Team in Ejigbo for their uprightness and diligence.
The acting Coordinator established that the roles of Police in any society are typically Public Order and Safety, Enforcing the Law, Preventing, Detecting and Investigating Criminals Activities. These are known as Policing.
More over, Comrade Akinyele Akintunde added that all the roles of Police mentioned have been duly carried out by the team led by CSP Okuwobi Olabisi in Ejigbo Community. The acting Coordinator disclosed that the Executives of National Youth Council of Nigeria Ejigbo Branch, have been patiently observing and taking records of Police activities in Ejigbo; especially during the recent Covid-19 Curfew in Lagos State where some miscreants and hoodlums were terrorizing the residents of some Areas in Lagos State.
He stressed further that the Joint actions of Ejigbo LCDA Council Chairman, Hon Monsuru Oloyede Bello (OBE), Community Development Committee (CDC) Executives led by Prince Jelili Atiku and the Police personels under the Authority of Divisional Police Officer in Ejigbo CSP Okuwobi Olabisi, yielded a lot of remarkable results as no crime, vandalization or armed robbery case(s) or what-so-ever were recorded in Ejigbo.
Comrade Akinyele Akintunde hinted that the Executives of NYCN have been also watching closely how the enforcement of law and order were established by Police Officers in Ejigbo in curtailing the spread of the pandemic disease of Coronavirus in Ejigbo LCDA.
However, the acting Youth Coordinator emphasized that preventive items such Face Marks are highly needed while Police Officers are discharging their duties.
At this juncture, Comrade Akinyele Akintunde went ahead and presented the protective materials of Face Covers, popularly known as FACE MASKS to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Okuwobi Olabisi.
Subsequently, in her warm gratitude, the Division Police Officer in Ejigbo CSP Okuwobi Olabisi said she was so excited seeing positive-minded and vibrant Youths such as National Youth Council Of Nigeria Ejigbo Branch. She confessed that while many youths in the community are running away from Police or Security Personnels, the Executives of NYCN Ejigbo deemed it fit to establish a unique relationship and synergized with Police Force in Ejigbo.
On the other hand, she stressed that she is also a youth as well and she would like to identify herself with the passionate and progressive National Youth Council of Nigeria Ejigbo Chapter. CSP Okuwobi Olabisi went further, that her door is always open to Executives of NYCN Ejigbo and they should not hesitate to reach her for Security support at any given moment in pursuit of any development or progress of Ejigbo Community.
