A Nigerian woman, Helen Williams, has made history again by creating a wig taller than a three-storey building, securing her third world record in wig making.
Newsonspot reports that Helen, a professional wig maker, already holds the records for the world’s longest handmade wig, measuring 351.28 metres, and the widest wig at 3.65 metres. She has now added another major feat to her name by creating the tallest wig in the world, standing an astonishing 15.37 metres tall from the top of her head.

The towering wig is even taller than the building she posed beside, making it one of the most visually striking hair creations ever recorded.
Speaking about the achievement, Helen said breaking records feels like climbing a mountain – difficult and demanding, but rewarding at the top. She described the tallest wig as her most challenging project yet, explaining that her first test failed due to structural difficulties.
Determined to succeed, she returned to the drawing board, redesigned the internal structure, and began the official attempt months later. This time, everything worked perfectly.
The record-breaking wig was made using 250 bundles of string hair and cost over ₦3 million. The entire process took two weeks and required intense focus, creativity, and technical skill.
Helen noted that while experience is important, structure is key. Without a strong internal build, she said, even the best wig maker cannot achieve such a feat.
In addition to her wig records, Helen also holds records for placing the most hair clips in a wig and on the head within 30 seconds. She says each record represents her courage, determination, and refusal to give up.

According to her, she is far from done. With more boundaries to push and dreams to chase, Helen says there are still many records waiting to be broken.
