Paris Saint-Germain star, Ousmane Dembele, has been crowned the 2025 men’s Ballon d’Or winner, marking the biggest individual honour of his career.
Newsonspot reports that the French winger clinched the award on Monday at the Théâtre du Chatelet in Paris, beating Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Raphinha to the prize. Dembele’s outstanding 2024/25 season was key to the decision, as he powered PSG to a historic quadruple – lifting the club’s first-ever UEFA Champions League title, alongside victories in Ligue 1, the French Cup, and the French Super Cup.
The 28-year-old netted 35 goals and provided 16 assists across all competitions, becoming the first French player to win the Ballon d’Or since Karim Benzema in 2021.
In the women’s category, Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati secured her third consecutive Ballon d’Or Féminin. Rising star Lamine Yamal claimed the Kopa Trophy for the best under-21 player, while Sweden’s Victor Gyokeres was honoured with the Gerd Müller Prize as men’s best striker. PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma also shone, winning the Yashin Trophy.
Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie earned recognition as the fourth-best women’s goalkeeper, while Super Falcons forward Justine Madugu narrowly missed out on the best women’s coach award, which went to England’s Sarina Wiegman after her Euro 2025 triumph.
