Prominent African and Caribbean leaders have hailed the socio-economic impact of Dangote Industries Limited’s investments across Africa at the ongoing 2025 Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) in Algiers, Algeria.
Among those who visited the Dangote exhibition stand were Grenada’s Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell, Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis Dr. Terrance Drew, Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Wale Edun, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, and the Governor of Zamfara State Dauda Lawal. Each delegation praised the far-reaching contributions of Dangote Group to Africa’s economic development and industrial growth.
They were warmly received by Engr. Mansur Ahmed, Special Adviser and Representative of Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote; Garba EL-Suleiman, Group Head, Commercial Foods; and other top executives of Dangote Industries.
The Dangote stand, one of the most visited at the trade fair, generated significant interest in polypropylene (PP) – a key product of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery. Polypropylene is a versatile thermoplastic polymer used for food containers, automobile components, and several other applications due to its strength, lightweight nature, and resistance to heat and chemicals.
As a Premier Partner of IATF2025, Dangote Group is showcasing its diverse portfolio across cement, fertilisers, petrochemicals, refined petroleum products, sugar, salt, and logistics – sectors critical to Africa’s industrial transformation. The company operates over 18 subsidiaries, making it one of the continent’s most influential industrial groups. Dangote Special Day at the fair is scheduled for Saturday.
Organised by Afreximbank in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the AfCFTA Secretariat, IATF is Africa’s largest trade and investment marketplace. The 2025 edition features over 2,000 exhibitors from across Africa and beyond, with projections to unlock more than US$44 billion in trade and investment deals.
