Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has proudly announced the birth of her grandson, Rakeem, sharing a touching photo of the newborn and his mother at the hospital in good health.
Newsonspot reports that in a surprising twist, an Instagram page created for baby Rakeem quickly went viral, attracting over 36,000 followers within 30 minutes and surpassing 55,000 shortly after.
The rapid rise sparked conversations online. While many celebrated Iyabo Ojo’s joy and the outpouring of support, others criticized Nigerians for what they described as misplaced priorities.
An X user, @your_Favxparte, mocked the trend, saying: “36,400 mumu and jobless people. Na Tinubu and the likes really fit them.” Another, @workof_Godd, added: “Nigerian people too mumu .”
Despite the mixed reactions, baby Rakeem is already making waves, becoming one of the fastest-growing celebrity Instagram accounts in Nigeria.
