Mrs. Favour Benson, the Executive Director of Jashabel Touch-A-Heart Foundation (JTAH Foundation), has joined voices as the world marks the International Day of the Boy Child (IDBC) to honor and uplift boys everywhere, emphasizing the need to pay equal attention to their growth, safety, and emotional well-being.
In her message, Favour Benson said:
“Today is a reminder that boys, just like girls, deserve love, support, education, and protection. At JTAH Foundation, we recognize that boys face unique challenges-from emotional neglect to societal pressure to conform to harmful stereotypes. It is our duty to support and guide them into becoming kind, confident, and responsible young men.”
She also stressed the importance of creating safe spaces for boys to express themselves and to be mentored in values that promote peace, respect, and equality.
“Let’s raise boys who will become protectors, not predators; supporters, not suppressors. The future of our society depends on how well we invest in the character and mindset of today’s boys,” she added.
Favour Benson reiterated JTAH Foundation’s commitment to child development, advocacy, and community engagement, noting that the foundation continues to work with families and communities to ensure that both boys and girls grow up in a balanced and nurturing environment.
“Happy International Day of the Boy Child! Let us raise a generation of boys who will lead with love and live with purpose,” she concluded.
