Her re-appointment was announced on the Twitter handle of the UK Prime minister, Rishi Sunak, on Tuesday.
The tweet read, “The Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP has been re-appointed Secretary of State for International Trade #TradeGovUK and President of the Board of Trade. She has also been appointed Minister for Women and Equalities #GEOgovuk.”
Badenoch backed Sunak in the most recent race to replace outgoing leader, Liz Truss. She was also a contender earlier this year in a Conservative Party leadership contest to replace then Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
