LAGOS, Nigeria – Nollywood top actress, Funke Akindele has spoken for the first time since she was sentenced to 14 days community service to be followed by self isolation.
Funke Akindele who spoke on video for the first time in weeks thanked family members, friends and fans for the support she and her husband have so far received.
She said the past week has been a learning curves for her and her family and that there is the need to continue to look forward. This actress who has become famous through her comic films said that Coronavirus, which has killed over 160,000 people worldwide is real.
Funke Akindele called on Nigerians to support the Lagos State Government and the Federal Government in their quest to stamp out Coronavirus from Nigeria.
She equally called for reguar hand washing, staying at home and to maintain social distancing.
“Thank you my friends, family and fans for all the love and support and calls you have showed. These past few weeeks has been a learning curves for me and my family but we must keep looking forward.
“Coronavirus is real, we all must continue to collaborate and support the Lagos State Government and the Federal Government, stay home, stay self wash your hands regularly and maintain social distancing”, she said.
