Dangote Cement Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to rewarding investors by approving a record dividend payout of N45 per share for the 2025 financial year, representing a 50 per cent increase from the previous N30 per share.

The dividend, which amounts to approximately N753.8 billion, was approved by shareholders at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), making it the highest dividend payout in the history of Dangote Cement. The development further strengthens the company’s reputation as one of the most rewarding investments on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX).

The impressive payout follows Dangote Cement’s outstanding financial performance in 2025, during which earnings per share climbed to N59.86, reflecting the company’s resilience, strong earnings capacity, efficient operations, and robust cash generation despite prevailing economic challenges.

Chairman of Dangote Cement Plc, Emmanuel Ikazoboh, said the increase demonstrates the company’s unwavering commitment to creating sustainable value for shareholders and other stakeholders.

According to him, the record dividend reflects the strength of the company’s business model, disciplined capital allocation strategy, and confidence in its future growth. He also expressed appreciation to shareholders for their continued trust and support, assuring them of the company’s commitment to delivering superior returns while maintaining high standards of corporate governance and operational excellence.

Dangote Cement has consistently rewarded investors over the years. In the last 15 years, the company has distributed more than N3.3 trillion in dividends, reinforcing its position as a dependable creator of long-term wealth. The latest increase also follows an earlier 50 per cent rise from N20 to N30 per share, highlighting its consistent dividend growth.

Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Arvind Pathak, attributed the higher dividend to the company’s strong financial performance and healthy balance sheet.

He said the decision reflects Dangote Cement’s solid earnings capacity and cash-generating ability, adding that the company remains committed to delivering lasting value to shareholders while executing its pan-African expansion strategy and supporting Africa’s industrial development.

Pathak also highlighted the company’s continued expansion across the continent. In 2025, Dangote Cement commissioned a 3-million-tonne-per-annum grinding plant in Côte d’Ivoire, increasing its total installed production capacity to 55 million tonnes per annum across 11 African countries.

He added that the company is working towards expanding its installed capacity to 80 million tonnes per annum by 2030, while improving operational efficiency, boosting exports, advancing sustainability initiatives, and enhancing shareholder value.

Dangote Cement’s investments in logistics, energy efficiency, alternative fuels, and plant modernization continue to strengthen its competitive advantage across African markets.

Market analysts believe the record dividend payout signals management’s confidence in the company’s future earnings potential and further reinforces Dangote Cement’s status as one of the Nigerian Exchange’s leading blue-chip stocks.

As Africa’s largest cement producer, Dangote Cement says it remains committed to achieving its vision of making the continent self-sufficient in cement and clinker production while supporting industrial development, creating sustainable shareholder value, and contributing to economic growth across Africa.
