United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has introduced a new Aggregator Sales Structure for its RedPay POS and UBAMONI Agency Banking Network, in a move to strengthen partnerships and expand financial inclusion across Nigeria.
Newsonspot reports that the new structure was unveiled during UBA’s inaugural Aggregator Engagement Session themed “POS-itive Impact: Connecting Agents, Merchants, and Customers,” held at the bank’s head office in Lagos. The event brought together key aggregators, POS partners, network managers, and industry stakeholders to align strategies for scaling UBA’s agency banking ecosystem.

Speaking at the session, UBA’s Executive Director Designate for Digital Banking, Emmanuel Lamptey, said partnerships are critical to achieving national financial inclusion goals. He noted that the initiative will strengthen UBA’s connection with communities and ensure financial services reach underserved populations.

In his keynote address, Shamsideen Fashola, UBA’s Head of Retail and Digital Banking, explained that the structured framework is designed to be scalable, transparent, and mutually beneficial. He said it will empower partners with technology and support to improve agent productivity and reach more customers.
The new platform offers several benefits, including instant settlement, reliable transaction processing, real-time dashboard reporting, dispute and terminal management, analytics, card withdrawals, bill payments, and pay-with-transfer services. Aggregators will also be able to onboard and manage agents, earn incentives and commissions, and monitor performance through a dedicated admin portal.
UBA’s Head of Agency Banking, Iyiola Adetunji, added that the initiative is customer-focused and aims to strengthen collaboration between UBA, merchants, and agents while improving service delivery.

With this launch, UBA reinforces its leadership in digital financial innovation and its commitment to bridging the financial inclusion gap across Africa.
