Nollywood siblings Dakore Akande and Timini Egbuson have laid their father to rest in a quiet, private burial ceremony attended by close family members.
Newsonspot reports that earlier this year, actor Timini Egbuson announced the passing of his father, expressing deep shock and sadness. He shared that he never imagined beginning the year by saying goodbye to his dad, but pledged to continue living in a way that would make him proud.
Dakore Akande also paid an emotional tribute, describing herself as heartbroken yet grateful that her father was finally free from pain. She thanked him for the cherished memories, laughter, and the legacy of excellence he passed on to his children. Dakore also highlighted his love for music and his signature sense of style.
Taking to Instagram, Timini shared photos from the low-key burial and reflected on the moment they said their final farewells. In his caption, he expressed how deeply his father’s strength and love would continue to guide him.
“We said our final goodbyes. Rest well, Papa. Your strength and love will always guide me,” he wrote.
The private nature of the ceremony reflected the family’s desire to mourn and honour their father away from the public eye.
