Nigeria’s Super Eagles have booked their place in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco following a dominant 4 – 0 victory over Mozambique on Monday.
Newsonspot reports that the Super Eagles delivered an impressive performance, with Ademola Lookman starring in the emphatic win. Lookman opened the scoring in the 20th minute with an assist from Akor Adams, before setting up Victor Osimhen for Nigeria’s second goal in the 25th minute. He later provided another assist for Adams, who sealed the victory in the 75th minute.

With the win, Nigeria will face either Algeria or DR Congo in the quarterfinals, as both teams are set to clash in their Round of 16 fixture.
Earlier in the day, Egypt defeated Benin Republic 3 – 1 after extra time to reach the last eight, where they will meet either Côte d’Ivoire or Burkina Faso.

Nigeria are chasing a fourth AFCON title, having previously lifted the trophy in 1980, 1994 and 2013.
