The Lagos creative industry has been thrown into mourning following the brutal murder of fast-rising interior designer Deborah Moses, popularly known as Deb’rah Porsche.
Newsonspot gathered that Deborah was allegedly killed by her ex-boyfriend, identified as Lintex, a native of Otukpo, Benue State, late Wednesday night, September 3, 2025 – months after she ended their relationship.
According to reports, Lintex deceived estate security by pretending to be a dispatch rider to gain access to the premises. When security became suspicious, he reportedly scaled the fence to enter the compound.
Once at Deborah’s residence, he allegedly cut the cooking gas pipe outside her apartment in a failed attempt to cause an explosion. When that plan failed, he reportedly broke into the house, confronted her, and stabbed her multiple times until she tragically died.
Deborah’s sister revealed that the suspect had refused to move on despite their breakup over a year ago.
“They have broken up for more than a year now, but this guy refused to move on. He keeps making statements like, ‘If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, blood will flow,’” she recounted.
She added that Deborah, who had just completed her NYSC and was beginning her career as an interior decorator, had been receiving strange calls and unwanted advances from the suspect.
“She was only trying to find her feet when this tragedy struck,” the grieving sister said.
Neighbors restrained the suspect after the attack and handed him over to the police. He is currently in custody as family members and activists call for justice, insisting the case must not be swept under the carpet.
Relatives say Deborah endured emotional torment during her relationship with Lintex and believed leaving him would bring peace. Unfortunately, he continued to stalk and harass her until the tragic night.
“She thought leaving him would bring peace, but instead he carried his bitterness like a burden until it destroyed her,” a family member said in tears.
Meanwhile, neighbors have described Lintex as a man with a history of possessiveness and aggression, recalling how he would show up uninvited at Deborah’s house long after the breakup.
The incident has sparked fresh conversations about domestic violence, stalking, and the urgent need for mental health support for people struggling with rejection and heartbreak. Experts insist that no amount of emotional pain justifies taking another person’s life, describing the act as cruel and cowardly.
