Akmodel Group, a fast-rising name in Nigeria’s real estate sector, made a bold statement as the Headline Sponsor of the 5th Edition of the prestigious Eko Heritage Awards and Miss Eko Beauty Pageant which took place at the luxurious Oriental Hotels on Lagos Island.
Leading the Akmodel delegation was the Group’s Managing Director, Builder (Dr.) Abdulhakeem Odegade, accompanied by renowned actor and filmmaker, Mr. Paul Obazele, who also serves as the company’s Brand Ambassador. The team included members of the media crew and marketing department, all proudly representing the brand’s commitment to promoting culture, excellence, and entertainment.
Hosted by popular media personalities Lexie Armani and Sheye Banks, the night kicked off with the national anthem, followed by a welcome address from Dr. Odegade. The keynote speech was delivered by the elegant Dr. Jessica Wilson-Dorsey (Mrs. Nigeria – Atlanta), who graced the occasion alongside her husband.
The event drew an impressive guest list that included dignitaries, celebrities, pageant queens, and creatives like Imisi Eledumare (The Ewi/Oriki Artist) and the captivating Egungun performer. Honorary awards were presented to key players and organizations including Boat Naija Lagos, Dr. Jessica Wilson-Dorsey, House of Twitch, and April by Kunbi, among others.
A major highlight of the evening was the Miss Eko 2025 pageant finale. After a spirited showcase by the final 8 contestants, Miss Agege emerged winner, taking home the coveted title. In a heartwarming gesture, Dr. Odegade, on behalf of Akmodel Group, presented the new queen with a plot of land in addition to the gifts provided by the organisers.
