The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) and the Brampton International Nollywood Film Festival (BINFF) are pleased to announce the appointment of Amb. Dr. Queen Blessing Ebigieson, National President of the Association of Movie Producers Nigeria (AMP), to their esteemed advisory boards.

The appointment letter signed by Isioro Jaboro, the President, CEO and Chief Creative Officer Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) and Brampton International Nollywood Film Festival (BINFF), it said Amb. Dr. Ebigieson’s appointment marks a significant step in the continued growth of Nollywood’s presence on the global film stage.

A passionate advocate for Nigerian filmmakers, her leadership has been instrumental in advocating for the interests of Nollywood producers and
expanding opportunities for Nigerian cinema worldwide.

Through her role, TINFF and BINFF have successfully increased the festival categories for Nollywood films, giving Nigerian productions a broader platform for representation in Canada.

Amb. Dr. Ebigieson’s deep experience and commitment to the Nollywood industry have played a vital role in the success of TINFF as a Telefilm Canada Qualifying Festival, offering significant opportunities for Nigerian producers to apply for funding and other resources from
Telefilm Canada.

This partnership positions Nigerian filmmakers for further recognition and
support within the Canadian film ecosystem.

Additionally, TINFF’s recent listing on IMDb has helped to further elevate the visibility and credibility of Nollywood productions, providing
filmmakers with an important international platform.

As the only African-tied Canadian Screen Awards Qualifying Festival, TINFF is proud to offer Nigerian filmmakers and producers the chance to gain recognition at Canada’s most prestigious film award ceremony. This unique distinction further solidifies TINFF and BINFF as significant contributors to global cinema, providing unmatched visibility and global recognition for Nigerian-Nollywood films.

Amb. Dr. Ebigieson’s contributions have also been instrumental in the success of the TINFF Market Summit through her leadership in the CBDFM Summit. Her efforts have created a vital networking space for Nollywood filmmakers and industry professionals, fostering collaboration, partnerships, and expanding the opportunities available to the Nigerian film community.
