Dele Farotimi, the embattled human rights lawyer and activist, has been sent back to jail following an adjournment of his bail application ruling.
Newsonspot reports that the ruling has been postponed until December 20, 2024. Farotimi had appeared before the Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday for the hearing of his bail application.
He was brought to court in a police security van at around 10:00 am, accompanied by correctional officials.

Farotimi’s arrest occurred in Lagos State by the Ekiti State Police Command, following a defamation lawsuit filed by Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Chief Afe Babalola.
Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), confirmed the development and expressed concern over Farotimi’s continued detention.
