Amid the controversy surrounding the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result of Ejikeme Mmesoma, the authentic best candidate of the 2023 UTME examination, Nkechinyere Kamsiyochukwu Umeh has received a cash gift of N2.5m.
Umeh, a student of Deeper Life High School, Mowe, Ogun State also bagged a full scholarship from Anchor University, Lagos as they named her the University’s Young Ambassador for the 2022/2023 session.
Umeh has also been offered a scholarship by the Anambra State Government to study any course of her choice at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.
Umeh garnered a total score of 360 in the UTME examination. Giving a breakdown of the result, she scored 99 in Chemistry, 98 in Mathematics, 97 in Physics, and 66 in English.

New Telegraph reports that on Friday, the Chief Executive Officer and President of Erisco Foods Limited, Dr Eric Umeofia, gave Umeh the cash gift.
Umeofia also rewarded the school administrator, the four subject teachers, and two other best students of the school with various cash gifts.
Speaking with The Punch’s correspondent on Friday, Umeofia said he was touched by the student’s interview with the news outlet on Saturday.
The President also revealed that cash rewards will be given to the administrator of the school, the four subject teachers, and two other best students of the school.
In a similar vein, the Vice Chancellor of Anchor University, Prof. Samuel Bandele on Thursday, at the University campus, Ayobo said that Umeh, who scored 360, has done the university and the Deeper Life Bible Church proud by beaming what they represent – Excellence.
He said: “You have made us proud as a church, Deeper Life Bible Church. You have beamed what we represent – Excellence. Therefore, we as a University must celebrate you.
“Therefore on behalf of our Proprietor and Chancellor, Pastor (Dr.) W. F Kumuyi, on behalf of our BOT Chairman, Pastor Nkemkika Obina, on behalf of Anchor University Pro-Chancellor, Professor Steven Odiowe, on behalf of Anchor University Management and the entire university community.
“I hereby pronounce Miss Nkechinyere Kamsiyochukwu Umeh as Anchor University Young Ambassador for the year 2022/2023 session with a full scholarship award for her to study any course of her choice in Anchor University.”
