The Lagos State Film and Video Censor Board (LSFVCB), under the leadership of its Executive Secretary, Mrs. Adebukola Agbaminoja, has announced its upcoming stakeholders conference themed “Navigating the Future of Film: Balancing Creativity, Compliance and Cultural Integrity.”
The event is scheduled to hold today Thursday 20th November 2025, at the ASSBIFI Event Centre, Alausa, Ikeja, bringing together filmmakers, producers, content creators, distributors, and other key players across the entertainment industry.
According to the Board, the conference aims to create an open platform for addressing emerging issues in the Nigerian film ecosystem – especially the need to balance artistic expression with regulatory compliance, ethical standards, and cultural values.
Mrs. Agbaminoja noted that the Lagos State Film and Video Censor Board remains committed to supporting a thriving creative sector while ensuring that film content upholds the cultural and moral integrity of the society. She emphasized that the dialogue is essential as the industry faces new trends, new technologies, and global audience expectations.
Participants at the conference are expected to engage in panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and collaborative conversations on how to strengthen the regulatory framework, promote responsible storytelling, and encourage innovation in filmmaking.
The Board encourages all stakeholders to attend and contribute to shaping the future of Nollywood and the wider audiovisual space.
