A tragic incident occurred on Sunday aboard an Ibom Air flight from Lagos to Abuja, where a male passenger died after falling ill midair.
Newsonspot gathered this according to reports by CKN News, the passenger became unwell about 20 minutes after take-off. Flight attendants immediately attempted to administer first aid, while the pilot radioed the control tower at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, to declare a medical emergency.
Due to heavy air traffic at the time, the flight was redirected and granted priority clearance to land at the Presidential Wing of the airport, where ambulances and medical personnel were on standby. Unfortunately, despite swift intervention upon landing, efforts to resuscitate the passenger were unsuccessful.
