Nigerian singer Darey Art Alade and his wife, Deola, have every reason to be thankful after a terrifying car fire incident on Lagos’ Third Mainland Bridge.
Newsonspot reports that in an emotional Instagram post on Saturday, June 7, 2025, Deola shared that the couple narrowly escaped harm when their vehicle caught fire around 4 p.m. on Friday and was completely burnt to the ground.
Deola posted videos from the scene, revealing the shocking aftermath of the fire. Thankfully, no lives were lost, and their driver managed to escape the blaze unharmed.
Reflecting on the experience, Deola highlighted the fragility of life and the insignificance of material possessions during moments of crisis.
“Moments like this remind us how quickly things can change and how unimportant material things become in the face of life itself,” she wrote.
She further explained that their decision to share the incident publicly wasn’t for sympathy, but to encourage others dealing with sudden loss.
“We’re not sharing this for sympathy but to remind someone that things can be replaced. Lives cannot,” she added.
“If you’re navigating a sudden loss of any kind, we hope this reminds you: we can rebuild. We can begin again and find the strength to keep going – one breath, one prayer, one step at a time.”
The couple expressed deep gratitude to God for protection and to the kind strangers who stopped to help.
