An Oyo State High Court, sitting at Ring Road, has granted bail to Naomi Silekunola, the ex-queen of the Ooni of Ife, and two others.
Newsonspot gathered that the bail was granted by Justice K.B Olawoyin, following a bail application filed by the counsel for the trio.
The judge outlined five bail conditions, including the payment of N10 million each and the provision of two sureties each who must submit landed property documents within the court’s jurisdiction.
The court also directed the defendants to submit their international passports and should not grant media interviews.
The trio, which includes Oriyomi Hamzat, an Ibadan-based media personality, and Abdulahi Fasasi, the Principal of Islamic High School, are standing trial over the stampede that led to the death of 35 children at the school during a funfair on December 18, 2024.
