The duo of Reverend (Dr.) Lawrence and Pst. Mrs. Grace Lasisi, the conveners of Festival Of Hope @ Ilesha, an open air revival, themed: Total Freedom In Christ Jesus, and other men of God paid a courtesy visit to the home of the renowned Elton family in Ilesha where they met Reverend Ruth Elton.
Rev. Lasisi started by introducing everyone and went ahead to say; “We love and appreciate you, thank you for your sacrifices and legacies since 1937, you came and became a blessing especially in Yorubaland, Africa and all over. The footprint is everywhere, we want to celebrate you. God brought us here to appreciate late Pa Elton and even your grandpa. A lot of people and ministers have been blessed since 1937.”
An award from Spring of Hope Christian Ministries, California, USA was presented as a Missionary Award to Reverend Ruth Elton in recognition of her outstanding commitment to the spreading of the gospel in Yorubaland, Nigeria, Africa.
Rev. Lasisi concluded by saying “Your late father appeared to me when I was praying for where to carry out this year’s crusade, God has really used your family for mighty works here and we will forever be grateful.”
Pastor Grace Lasisi gave a monetary support to go with the award.
Rev’d Ruth responded happily to the visit and the gifts, recounting how she went in to areas hugely populated by pagan, preaching the gospel, converted some, built churches etc to the glory of God Almighty
She also prayed for Rev’d Lasisi team before they left.
