One of Nigeria’s major airlines, Air Peace on Saturday, 30th March 2024 commenced its Lagos-London flight services one month after it revealed plans to begin London direct flight operations.
Airpeace had announced plans to begin direct flight operations to London on March 30 during a prelaunch forum organised by the airline in February 2024.
Recall that in November 2023, Air Peace’s Chairman and CEO, Allen Onyema, announced that the airline had obtained the necessary permits, including the Foreign Carrier Operator Permit and Third Country Operator Permit, enabling it to operate flights to Europe and the United Kingdom.
The news of the inaugural flight to London was shared on Air Peace’s official social media handle, expressing their delight in achieving another milestone in providing seamless connectivity between cities. The airline expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the launch.
The airline wrote, “London service has commenced and we’re delighted to have achieved yet another feat in our drive to continually provide peaceful connectivity across cities.
“A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this launch.”
The inaugural flight was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anita, among others.
