The offices of the British High Commission in Abuja, Lagos and across Nigeria will close on Monday, September 19, as the late Queen Elizabeth II would be buried in London.
The United Kingdom announced this in its official Twitter page of the United Kingdom in Nigeria, @UKinNigeria, on Friday.
It said, however, that the UK Visa Application Centres in Abuja and Lagos will not be affected by the closure.
The statement read, “Our British High Commission offices in Abuja, Lagos and across the country will be closed on Monday September 19th, 2022 in observance of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. UK Visa Application Centres in Abuja & Lagos remain open. God Save the King!”
