Newsonspot blog reports that Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has visited afrobeat musician, Femi Kuti at his residence.
This visit comes days after Kuti declared that he is too angry to be obedient, a reference to the supporters of Obi, who call themselves ‘Obidients’.
Kuti had said, “I cannot be obedient in this country of today. Nothing can make me to be obedient. I’m too angry, too sad, too depressed to be.”
The former Anambra governor gave the assurance when he visited the musician, that his campaign would be based on everyday issues affecting Nigerians and Nigeria, adding that the recent controversy was not what the movement and his ambition stand for, according to a video clip online.
On Wednesday, pictures of Obi’s visit to Femi surfaced online and Charles Oputa, known better as Charly Boy and.Kuti’s son, Made, are seen in pictures from the visit.
