A gunmen attack at a Bank branch in Isanlu town in Yagba East local government area of Kogi State and a police station in the town on Thursday June 4, has left many dead.
Though details of the attack is still sketchy at the moment, it was however gathered that the robbers first stormed Isanlu Divisional Police Station where they killed those present. They thereafter proceeded to the bank where they also killed more people.
Kogi state’s police spokesperson told Daily Trust;
“Attacks on a bank and police formation was reported by civilians but I can’t give you details because the DPO on ground cannot be reached yet but the Deputy Commissioner of Police is on his way to assess the situation.”
It was alleged that the robbers operated for more than 1 hour in the Kogi community. Here are tweets which captured the gory sight below;
