Amy Cooper, the White woman who called 911 to claim an African American man was threatening her life, has been fired hours after she was placed on administrative leave.
Amy, who was the Head of Insurance Investment Solutions at Franklin Templeton, was fired one day after the May 25th incident in New York’s Central Park.
The announcement was made on Twitter by her employer.
Franklin Templeton tweeted via its official Twitter account: “Following our internal review of the incident in Central Park yesterday, we have made the decision to terminate the employee involved, effective immediately. We do not tolerate racism of any kind at Franklin Templeton.”
This announcement comes hours after the company issued a statement to reveal Amy Cooper has been placed on administrative leave after she called 911 to falsely claim that Christian Cooper, an African American man, was threatening her life.
