One of the top names in the nation’s film industry and the President of Legends of Nollywood, Mr. Paul Obazele has warned the federal government and Nigerian politicians about politicizing the Coronavirus pandemic palliatives meant for the poorest of the poor in the land.
Obazele who has also been a strong voice of the oppressed and the voiceless in the Nigerian society right from the beginning of his acting career till now made the charge in a video that has now gone viral.
According to him, it’s saddening to hear and see various viral videos of the Nigerian people lamenting that the relief materials purportedly being shared by governments at all levels and some politicians are not filtering down to the poor who are really in need of it.
He further adds that it begats belief that the government is saying there’s no formula or method to reach out to the needy in this “war-like” situation.
He also proffered a workable solution for the distribution of food and other palliatives to the generality of poor Nigerians who are now in dire need of assistance from the government.
According to news sources, the visibly angry top Nollywood actor and producer has donated well over five hundred thousand naira worth of food items, drinks and recharge cards to the needy and vulnerable around him and he is planning to do even more.
